Pandora Internet Radio

Have you been to Pandora.com yet?

If you're a fan of music, you should check that website out.

Pandora is a free internet radio where you can create your own personalized station.

According to their FAQ page:

"Pandora is a music discovery service designed to help you enjoy music you already know, and to help you discover new music you'll love.

It's powered by the most comprehensive analysis of music ever undertaken, the Music Genome Project: a crazy project started back in early 2000 to capture the complex musical DNA of songs using a large team of highly-trained musicians.

Just tell us one of your favorite songs or artists and we'll launch a streaming station to explore that part of the musical universe."

First, you have to create an account (it's free). After you sign in, you can create a new station by typing in a song title or artist name. Pandora will automatically begin playing music that is comparable to that song/artist.

For example, I typed in Suds in the Bucket (by Sara Evans) and I got a bunch of other country songs.

Once you have a station started, you can tell Pandora if you like the song (thumbs up) or hate it (thumbs down). If you give the song a thumbs up, it will play more songs like that one (and play that particular song more frequently). If you give it a thumbs down, it will quit playing similar crappy music. You can only skip/thumbs down 6 songs per hour though, so skip those songs carefully!

Eventually, you will have a perfect customized radio station. (You can have up to 100 different stations on your account!)

So check it out at Pandora.com.
You can thank me later.
