A Glorious Morning and a Crappy View

Hurrah for spring!

It was beautiful this morning. I had my blinds open and the sun was shining (sort of) and it was cool but not freezing out and it was just lovely and made me happy to be alive. So I took some pictures.

I shall now share with you the crappy view from my crappy apartment:

Yes, my balcony over looks a roof. Isn't that charming? I almost cried after I signed the lease and realized that I had somehow managed to overlook this fact when I toured the building. Luckily, it was only a 6 month lease and I'm moving at the beginning of May. Whew.

This scary, rotting wooden staircase is directly off my balcony. I can literally reach out and touch it. I think it's for roof access, but I have never seen anyone try to access the roof and judging by the moss and broken-ness, I don't think it's been used in a very long time.

Also, since my apartment is in a corner, all this awesome garbage gets blown around the roof and collects right outside my door! Lovely! (Why there is garbage on the roof, I do not know.)

Lastly, I would like to share the geese. The #*&@% geese! For some reason, they land on the roof and then honk and honk and honk and honk and honk and honk for literally hours. It drives my cats crazy. It also makes me want to get a BB gun and do target practice.

I love animals, but I cannot love these geese. They're ok when they're not outside my window making my cats wig out. They are just so freaking obnoxious. And they poop so much. SO MUCH. Ew.

So, fortunately, I am moving in a month. Just one more month. Maybe less, depending on what the leasing office has available.
