Coming Soon - New Resin Pieces!

I was a crafting machine this weekend!

I was playing with my resin, because I got a bunch of new molds from HappyMarriedArtists on Etsy, so I will have a ton of new pieces to list in my shop later this week!

Everything just finished curing, so I popped some of the pieces out of their molds this morning. They turned out awesome! Check it out:

Instead of my usual stickers + glitter, I tried some different materials and techniques, including embedding different objects in the resin and layering glitter.

In the pink heart, I embedded a really cool antique key that I got at my favorite antique shop, Ye Olde Oaken Bucket. I was so excited that it fit into the mold! I think it turned out really cool.

I also tried my hand at steampunk! Devon made an awesome desk clock out of an old antique dash board clock out of a 1950s Chrysler, and he gave me all the old gears and things since he put a new clock mechanism in it, so I finally got around to putting those gears into a resin pendant!

I also finally figured out how to layer glitter! I'm not sure if I'm doing it "correctly", but the effect turned out exactly how I wanted, so who cares if I did it right or not! This 3 Little Bears piece shows the effect:

The last thing I want to show you is a project I've been working on for literally MONTHS. ...Not sure why it took me so long to finish, but whatever. It's done! It's a fishy resin paper weight!

So keep your eyes on my Etsy shop for some cool pendants and jewelry made out of these pieces. I should have them listed later this week!
