Down the aisle...

This is the music that my fiance wants me to walk down the aisle to during our wedding ceremony.

What do you think? Awesome? Or retarded? I'm kind of torn, especially since the actual song (Under The Bridge by Red Hot Chili Peppers) is really depressing and sad. It's about heroin addiction!

I'm not sure I could walk down the aisle to a song about heroin addiction, even if it is done by string quartet and sounds really freaking pretty, although Devon says I shouldn't worry about it because it's an awesome song.

What do you think? Leave a comment with your thoughts!

  1. I would maybe go with something more romantic to walk down the aisle to, but then incorporate the song into something else at the reception that's important to you guys (because it sounds like the song means a lot to you both of you). But it's your day- do whatever you want! Some people at my reception wondered why we danced our first dance to Van Halen's "When It's Love" instead of something more traditional. I'm wondering what they would have thought if we picked our other favorite- "Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica! =)

  2. Mark and I think it'd be a little weird to walk down the aisle to that song. It does sound really pretty, but the subject of the song just isn't right for a wedding. You'd be thinking about it while walking as would some of your guests, I'm sure.

  3. I like this version but I think that I would still have the meaning stuck in my head and would not want that in my head walking down the aisle. I say keep looking.
    Congrats!!

  4. Yeah, I agree with the above comments. You'll always think about the meaning of that song. Play it another time, during the reception. There are lots of songs out there so keep looking and don't worry! You'll find something!
